Choose the correct outlet shape
Select the version for refreshed Model Y / Model Y L, refreshed Model 3, or original Model Y 2021–2024. The separately listed universal mesh pair is a different design; it is not the rigid clip-in cover pictured in every illustration.
Open grille with a raised profile
The illustrated molded cover uses a slotted grille to help stop larger objects entering the duct while leaving an air path. Keep the grille clear of dust and carpet, and check it during routine interior cleaning.
Neat fit beneath the front seats
The guards sit over the floor-level outlets behind the front seats. They are a protective accessory and do not modify the heating or air-conditioning system. Package contents are two guards or two mesh pieces, as selected.
Clean, align and clip into place
Remove loose debris from the outlet first. Align the model-specific guard and engage its side clips without forcing the duct. Confirm secure fit and free seat movement after installation.
