Tesla Model 3 & Model Y Door Check Straps, Front and Rear
Replace a worn door check strap or opening limiter on Tesla Model 3 or Model Y. Select the front or rear position and model-specific side option; these are check mechanisms, not complete door hinges.
Controlled door travel
A door check strap helps control opening travel and holding positions. The paired reference photograph shows related versions; each selected option supplies one named check strap.
Inspect mounting geometry
Compare the bracket, studs, arm shape and fixing holes to the removed part. Front Model 3 options are separated into left and right.
Front and rear versions
The supplier lists rear Model 3 and front/rear Model Y options as either-side parts within their respective positions. This does not make all five options interchangeable.
Address the correct component
A worn check strap can contribute to clicking or uneven door movement, but hinge, alignment and trim faults require separate diagnosis.
Secure the door during repair
With a check strap disconnected the door can swing beyond its normal limit. Use the vehicle service procedure and verify the travel after fitting.
